Hi, my name is Kris Kostura. I teach 4th grade Learning Support at Sheckler Elementary School in a co-teaching classroom. I have been teaching special needs students for 10 years. I have been involved in the union for many years and served as the Vice-President for two years. Chief Negotiator : Rick Milne
I am the elementary instrumental music teacher (Grades 4,5, & 6) in the district. This is my 36nd year of teaching, my 34rd in Catasauqua. I am presently the President of Eastern Region . This position gives me many opportunities to be close to the issues that concern educators across the state and be part of the process that tries to deal with and find solutions to;those
issues. Locally, as chief negotiator and grievance chair, I have 2 goals: 1. to get the best contract for everyone in the local that is possible. 2. to work with the district to try to resolve issues, if possible, before those issues become huge problems. If that is not possible, we have a process to follow. I also appreciate being allowed to serve CAEA in these capacities.
Mr. Milne is also President of Eastern Region.
